The change this course delivers

AI Fluency

Before

Staff are anxious about AI or use it quietly, with no rules on accuracy or confidentiality.

After

Staff use AI daily on real work with one discipline: Frame, Verify, Own.

Move faster. Keep the human in control.

Generative AI is changing how correspondence, meetings, research and routine reporting get done. This intensive course helps administrative professionals use that shift with confidence, without compromising accuracy, confidentiality or institutional trust.

Through demonstrations, guided practice and a coached capstone, participants learn where AI adds value, where it creates risk and what must always remain human. Every AI-assisted task follows one discipline: Frame, Verify, Own.

What you will achieve

Six outcomes

  1. Use generative AI for drafting, correspondence, minutes, meeting preparation and research.
  2. Write clear prompts and improve outputs through structured iteration.
  3. Spot hallucinations, bias and errors before content reaches a principal or client.
  4. Protect privacy and confidentiality in institutional settings.
  5. Automate one routine workflow from your own desk.
  6. Leave with a personal 90-day playbook and three workflows to augment.

Programme

Eight practical modules, one real workflow redesigned

Day one builds a reliable foundation: instructing AI clearly, challenging its output and protecting what should never be shared. Day two moves from individual tasks to connected workflows, ending with a real process redesigned for immediate use.

Day1

Build a reliable foundation

  • 01 The AI-shifted admin role. From task executor to strategic partner; where AI adds leverage; a before-and-after workflow demonstration
  • 02 Drafting and prompt craft. Emails, memos and reports; tone, context and constraints; reusable prompt patterns; your personal prompt library
  • 03 Trust, privacy and control. Hallucinations, bias and errors; verification routines; confidentiality boundaries; safe alternatives and escalation
Day2

Turn knowledge into workflow

  • 04 Meetings and research. Meeting preparation briefs; minutes and action tracking; rapid research and summarisation
  • 05 Workflow automation. Scheduling and task tracking; document comparison and reporting; no-code approaches for non-technical staff
  • 06 Responsible AI. Bias, fairness and accountability; a personal AI-use policy for your desk; alignment with institutional governance
  • 07 What stays human. Judgment, protocol and diplomacy; stakeholder relationships; making human contribution visible
  • 08 Capstone: redesign one real workflow. Re-engineer a workflow from your role with facilitator coaching and peer showcase; build your 90-day AI playbook

Responsible practice

One discipline for every AI-assisted task

01Frame

Define the purpose, audience, source material, constraints and confidentiality boundary before prompting.

02Verify

Check facts, names, numbers, bias, omissions and tone. Never confuse polished language with correct output.

03Own

Apply judgment, document decisions where required and remain accountable for what leaves your desk.

Included with your place

  • Pre-course AI readiness checklist
  • Prompt library and template pack
  • Capstone workflow redesign with coaching
  • Certificate of Completion
  • Light-touch 90-day online check-in

Your progression pathway

Every delegate receives a US$300 credit toward the five-day Advanced Planning & Communication course. The two-day sprint builds AI fluency; the five-day flagship develops the wider planning, communication and strategic-partner capability around it.

If your organisation runs Microsoft 365 and wants depth on Copilot itself, see Microsoft 365 Copilot at Work.

Questions

Before you register

Which AI tools does the course use?
The course is tool-neutral. The skills apply to the generative AI tools institutions commonly approve, including Microsoft 365 Copilot and ChatGPT. Delegates practise on realistic administrative tasks and learn what must never enter a public AI tool.
How is this different from Microsoft 365 Copilot at Work?
AI Fluency is for administrative professionals whatever tools their organisation uses, and focuses on judgment, verification and redesigning their own workflows. Copilot at Work is for organisations on Microsoft 365 and works hands-on inside Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
Why two days?
Two days is long enough for practice, coaching and a real workflow redesign, yet short enough to protect attendance and keep the material current.
Can I attend in French?
Yes. Every cohort is offered in French on the same dates. Choose the session language on the registration form.
Can you run this for our team only?
Yes. In-house delivery can use your policies, approved tools and role-specific scenarios. See in-house training.
